Île Callot can be reached on foot via a causeway at low tide - check the tide times beforehand.

Arriving and taking in the coast
A quiet settling-in day with no long drives.
A small tidal island reachable on foot or with the car via a narrow causeway at low tide. White sandy beaches, dunes and a little chapel invite a peaceful stroll. Be sure to check the tide times so you're not caught out by the water.
A harbour town with a striking railway viaduct and narrow half-timbered lanes. The weekly market and small bistros are perfect for a first taste of Breton cuisine. Leave the caravan at the site and take just the car to the level car park by the harbour.

Côte de Granit Rose
A short drive, leaving plenty of time for the coast in the afternoon.

Keep dogs on a lead; in season, some stretches of beach are dog-free.
A famous fishing village with a striking lighthouse set among bizarre pink granite rocks. The Sentier des Douaniers customs path leads on an easy walk past the finest rock formations. One of the most impressive stretches of Brittany's coast for nature lovers.
A lively coastal town with the long sandy beach of Trestraou and a lovely harbour. The market offers fresh fish, oysters and Breton specialities. A good place to stop after the walk and try a galette.
Finistère, the end of the world
After arriving, there's time for a first walk along the beach.

A quiet, nature-close site in the dunes on the wild coast of northern Finistère. Wide, often deserted sandy beaches and ideal conditions for long walks with the dog. A manageable site away from the big holiday centres.
Lighthouses and the Atlantic
A quiet day with a short drive, leaving plenty of time on the coast.
A dramatic headland with a lighthouse and the ruins of an old abbey high above the Atlantic. The view of the offshore islands and open sea is especially striking in windy weather. Climbing the lighthouse is well worth it for the panorama.
A picturesque fishing village with a sheltered natural harbour and fresh catch straight off the boats. Ferries to the islands of Ouessant and Molène depart from here. Small restaurants serve seafood within sight of the water.
Brittany's finest coastline
Three nights at Crozon give you time for the peninsula's highlights.

A quiet, pine-shaded site on the Crozon peninsula, ideal as a base for the spectacular beaches and cliffs nearby. Manageable in size with a family atmosphere rather than mass tourism. Dogs are welcome, and the sea is close by.

Cliffs and bays
Check the tides before heading to the beach.
Wear sturdy footwear on the narrow paths at Cap de la Chèvre.
A sheltered, wide sandy bay with calm water and a pretty little harbour. Ideal for swimming, walking, and a boat trip to the colourful sea caves. A relaxed beach day without much effort.
The southernmost tip of the Crozon peninsula with far-reaching views over the Atlantic and the Baie de Douarnenez. Heathland, cliffs and walking paths define the rugged scenery. An easy circular route follows the steep coastline.
Rocks and the weekly market
Check the market day: the main market in Crozon is usually held on Wednesdays.
One of the most striking headlands in Brittany, with steeply rising rock towers known as the Tas de Pois. The view over the deep-blue sea is spectacular, with walking paths running along the edge. A place that brings the wildness of the Atlantic to life.
The weekly market in the town centre offers regional produce, oysters, cheese, cider and fresh vegetables. A good place to stock up for the campsite and try some local specialities. The atmosphere is Breton and relaxed.
A gentler coastline in the south
The south coast is milder and more sheltered than the Atlantic in the west.

A peacefully located, well-kept site near the renowned sailing harbour of La Trinité-sur-Mer and the beaches of the Quiberon peninsula. A good base for the Gulf of Morbihan and the standing stones of Carnac. Manageable in size and dog-friendly.

Standing stones, beaches and wild coast
The last full day on the coast before the journey home begins.
The world-famous stone rows of Carnac comprise thousands of Neolithic standing stones. The visitor centre tells you more about their mysterious history, and guided tours give access to the fields. A unique cultural monument right on the route.
The wild western side of the Quiberon peninsula, with jagged rocks, crashing surf and a beautiful coastal path. The contrast between the calm east coast and the rugged west coast is striking. Stick to safe paths, as swimming here is dangerous due to the currents.
First leg home
The longest return leg: set off early so you arrive before dusk.
Alternatively, split the route further if this feels too long for you.

A practical, easily accessible site near the town as a stopover on the way home. A quiet location with short walks into the historic centre and its canals. Ideal for splitting the long return journey into two legs.
