The steep upper section through the tunnel is only for confident hikers — with children, the lower stretch is plenty.

Coastal hike

A scenic coastal trail in the Serra Gelada natural park with views over the cliffs and the sea as far as Benidorm Island. The wide path is family-friendly — you don't need to walk the whole ridge, just as far as the first viewpoint. Bring sun protection and water, as there's little shade.

Port town & history
A slightly longer drive, so set off early and enjoy the afternoon at the harbour.
A large fortress above the port town of Dénia with remains from the Moorish era, a small archaeological museum and sweeping views over the sea and the town. The climb through the old walls is a little adventure for the children.
A lively harbour with fishing boats, sailing yachts and restaurants serving freshly caught fish. A stroll along the harbour wall rounds off the day in relaxed style.
Dream cove
A narrow approach road to the cove, so the trailer stays on site.
Best to arrive in the morning, while it's still less busy.
A small pebble cove framed by rocks and pine trees, with exceptionally clear, turquoise water, often ranked among Spain's most beautiful coves. Perfect for swimming and snorkelling in peaceful surroundings. Because it's so popular, arrive early, as parking is limited.
