Choose the length of the walk depending on your child's mood, turning back is always an option.
The lighthouse at the northern tip of the Darß stands within the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park and is reached via lovely forest and hiking trails. The small Natureum gives a vivid introduction to the coastal nature, with the path there leading through wild, natural forest.

Just half an hour's drive, leaving plenty of free time afterwards.

A quietly situated campsite near Zingst with a short walk to the beach and into the pine forest. The move is deliberately kept short, so you can be back by the water again by the afternoon.

Water and walking

Only a few kilometres by car, otherwise on foot.
The charming Baltic Sea town of Zingst is easy to explore on foot, with its striking pier and plenty of ice cream parlours. There's a playground by the spa gardens for your little one, and relaxed strolling for you.
On the bodden side of Zingst lies a vast natural area with birdlife and quiet paths along the water. A flat, pushchair-friendly walk with far-reaching views across the bodden.

Homeward journey, stage one

There's still time for a swim in the lake in the afternoon.
On the way from the Darß, it's worth a short stop in the amber town on the Saaler Bodden. A walk by the water and a look at the amber workshop round off your farewell to the coast.
A campsite close to nature right on the Müritz and the national park, a lovely stopover with water and forest. The lake's own bathing beach invites you to one last splash before heading back to Leipzig.
